7 Day Yacht Charter Itinerary #2

The following is our second itinerary option for 7 day charters with us out of Moreton Bay!

Day One: Leave Cabbage Tree Creek Marina, sail To St Helena and have a look around the island. Watch the wallabies, do a bit of beach combing or take a tour of the penal colony. Maybe take a bit of a swim. Overnight off St Helena.

Day 2: Sail to Horseshoe Bay on Peel Island, take a walk on the beautiful tropical beach or snorkel the wreck of the Platypus. See what you can catch for dinner.

Day 3: Sail up to Myora Point on North Stradbroke. Keep a keen eye out for Dolphins and Turtles! There are plenty around here. If the weather allows, go up to Amity Point off the North Side of Stradbroke and take a walk on the glorious sand beaches. Anchor at either of these spots or see if you can get on dock at the Little Ship Club at Dunwich and go out for a fabulous meal.

Amity PointDay 4: Make your way around the banks off Moreton and Stradbroke cautiously watching the tides. If you have a low tide, get out and watch the birds and visit the old abandoned oyster leases on the Boolong Banks off of Moreton Island. This is the spot to also see many turtles, dolphins and Dugongs around here.

Anchor at the Sandhills of Moreton Island. Spend the entire next day at the Sandhills. Go tobogganing on the sand, snorkel the mangroves at high tide to see many sting rays, shovel head sharks (don’t worry, they are part of the sting ray family) and turtles. Enjoy sitting on the most beautiful beach around in solitude.

Day 5: Head on up to Tangalooma and snorkel the many wrecks there with thousand of schools of fish to see. Perhaps get a day pass for Tangalooma Resort and enjoy all they have to offer including feeding the dolphins at sunset hour. Anchor at Lucinda Bay overnight.

Day 6: Spent the morning on Moreton Island and then take an afternoon sail over to Redcliffe on the mainland. Anchor off the jetty and take in the Bee Gees way along with having dinner off in this fabulous holiday spot.

Day 7: Sadly, it is time to return to Cabbage Tree Creek Marina, from Redcliffe, a couple hours sail will have you back at the mouth of Sandgate.
